Five years after President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) into law and a year and a half after most of its major provisions were implemented, health reform is at a crossroads. The Supreme Court is set to decide King v. Burwell this summer and the Court’s decision will either upset a core aspect of the ACA in most states or stay the course on health reform pending continued work on the part of policymakers at the state and federal levels to improve the law and iron out its implementation.
