Directing positive change for Colorado individuals and families
Developing policies that support Coloradans experiencing poverty requires hard work, ingenuity, extensive legal expertise, strong relationships within the community and knowing when to hold the line.
To address inequities pertaining to financial security, food, housing, skills training, child care and health care, we use our experience and legal expertise to work with our partners and develop policy solutions with state legislators. We then employ the tools of research, advocacy, coalition-building and communications to build support for these measures to ensure they are adopted and implemented.
At the same time, we confront proposed or existing policies that hinder the advancement of families facing or experiencing poverty.
