Being a bilingual attorney-advocate with experience in leading organizations, working with the indigent and historically disenfranchised, and pursuing doctoral-level education in public policy, Annie brings to CCLP their honed leadership, empathetic and ethical positioning, and deep knowledge of — and desire to dismantle — inequities in our system.
Annie is a first-generation Cuban American from Hialeah, Florida. They graduated from law school in 2014, and shortly thereafter, moved to Colorado to practice law.
Annie's practice has centered around advocating and supporting indigent communities in criminal, civil and immigration law. Providing zealous representation in both English and Spanish, they have extensive courtroom experience, and also completed the Colorado Mediation training program, providing mediation in both languages. In addition to their law degree, Annie is completing a doctorate in public policy & administration at West Chester University, as part of their commitment to activism for justice and social change (Aug 2024 anticipated completion).
Outside of the Courtroom Annie is currently serving as the President of the Denver Bar Association (2024-2025) and has served as president of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association (2020). In these roles they have advocated for the passage of several bills as well as educational rule changes for attorneys surrounding EDI training. They have also delivered community and attorney educational programming.

Annie lives in Denver/Thornton with their spouse, Victor, and three energetic dogs.
