Charles Brennan provided testimony in support of HB26-1012, which would have required sellers to provide consumers with the prices of the delivered goods and the goods available at the store for price transparency and fairness. It also would have prohibited unfair or deceptive trade practices by charging unreasonably excessive prices for goods and services.

The most recent episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver explored the plights of renters across the nation facing skyrocketing rent and threats of eviction. During the “main story” segment of the program, host John Oliver referenced the 2017 research study “Facing Eviction Alone” which was produced by Colorado Center on Law and Policy in collaboration with Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
“One study of nearly a hundred thousand cases of evictions in Denver found that nearly 90 percent of landlords were represented by a lawyer, compared to less than one percent of tenants. Which is not good.”
